      As a teacher, I would use data collection to see what activities the kids enjoyed the most or it could be used as a practice test so teachers can go through and see what questions the students were struggling with. I think this would be most beneficial in middle school because I do not think elementary students do not have as much access to computers and high school students could use it but at that point they should be responsible for reviewing on their own or with the materials already provided. I think tools, such as Excel, would be more beneficial for the teacher to use for grades. I have also had a professor use Excel to make a formula so you could add in your test scores to see what you would need on the final to make a certain grade in the class.        A flipped classroom is when the students watch lectures or read the material at home as homework so when they come to class, they spend that time doing worksheets and other assignments. This way they can ask the instructor any questions they may have while doing the assignments. I think this is a really great way to help kids do well in class but I do not think they retain the information the same way they would if they were in class for the lecture. I retain information best when I am in class learning because usually the instructor gets the students involved with the lesson.       Open educational resources, or OERs, are materials for teaching that are free for teachers to use as they want.       I really liked Diigo. It reminds me of JStor but you get to share the links you find with other people. Diigo could be helpful for teachers to share links and blogs with other teachers. It could also be used by students who are working on a group project. I think Diigo is better than JStor because you can use any source with it. With JStor, you can only have the sources they have on their site.      Power Point would be really helpful in higher math classes if you are trying to incorporate each level of Bloom's Taxonomy. I would structure it so a student would begin with a math problem and then based on what answer they get, it would lead them to different slides. The with the right answer would show them they are correct and show them the process they should have used to get there.       Two PLNs I like are Pinterest and Facebook . I like Pinterest because it is a great way to save a bunch of ideas you find online that you would like to incorporate into your classroom. You can save these ideas privately or you can make public boards so other people can see what ideas you find. Pinterest also allows you to make boards where more than one person can add things to it, so if you have to work together on something you can start a Pinterest board with everyone. Facebook is really great because you can start different groups for different topics. For example, you can have a group for all the teachers that teach the same grade level but then you can have another group for the teachers that teach the same subject and grade level.

      I had used Twitter before this class but I was not as active as I am with this account. By posting and replying to tweets, I am communicating with many more people compared to my other account where I mainly only like other tweets. One of the benefits of Twitter is you can contact people and companies in a non-formal way and in the public's eye so they may be quicker to reply. I haven't had any issues with Twitter recently but that's because I understood how to work Twitter before I started this account. If I had not had a Twitter I would be really confused on how to get around the app and what the difference was between quote-tweeting and commenting on a tweet.        The Web Design assignment helped me open up to using websites I may not be familiar with.      I made a video that could be shown to fourth or fifth grade science classes. It shows the growth of baby rabbits over their first few weeks. This video would be most beneficial in a unit about life cycles.
