      For 4th grade ELA Standards, I think I am best prepared to interpret the messages from charts, graphs, diagrams, or animations while I do not think I am prepared enough to summarize sections of text if they are read aloud. I believe I am prepared to interpret messages because that is what I have been taught to do in most of my classes for years. I would also like to think I would be good at this standard because I am good at coming up with different ways to explain something if they way I first explained it does not make sense to someone. I believe I am not prepared to summarize text read aloud because I have a really bad short term memory and often forget what my professors just said in lecture.       As a student, I have been using Microsoft Word since elementary school. When I first started typing up essays to turn in, I used on Word. It wasn't until high school that I learned about other software you could use instead of Word. I thought every computer came with Word and it wasn't until I got my first laptop that I realized you had to purchase it and then download it. This is because my school district made everything on either Word or PowerPoint. Since everything was on Word, I was able to edit whatever they sent to us but I never heard of them having an issue students changing the instructions or due dates.       The way the world is rapidly changing around us influences teachers and students to use technology in the classroom so they can keep up with today's society.       The ISTE standards for educators are learner, leader, citizen, collaborator, designer, facilitator, and analyst. The ISTE standards for students are similar but adapted to fit the needs of students instead, they are empowered learner, digital citizen, knowledge constructor, innovative designer, computational thinker, creative communicator, and global collaborator. As an educator, I think analyst is the most meaningful standard because an educator needs to understand what their students are having trouble with in order to be effective.
